Yes, the rumors are true: Chick-Fil-A has opened up at the Wells Fargo Center, but don’t get too excited. As we prepare for the Flyers to take on the visiting Florida Panthers, I decided to spend my time wisely (i.e. searching for that delicious golden, crispy chicken breast). As Ryan Gilbert (Sons of Penn blog) ventured to the 100 level of the WFC, panic struck, the Chick-Fil-A was nowhere to be found.
As we walked around the rotunda, anger, frustration and sadness grew. Finally, we came to our senses and looked on a map. Chick-Fil-A was located at section 110, so we ventured to that food stand. Yet, no Chick-Fil-A was found. What we found was a “Fan Favorites” stand, but if you scanned the food board, you will see a Chick-Fil-A sandwich, moderately priced for $6.
Obviously, after this “long” search, I had to purchase that delicious chicken sandwich, but only the sandwich. Why? Because that’s all the Wells Fargo Center sells. No fries. No side of fruit. No chicken nuggets. Just the one original sandwich.
The sandwich itself was quite good. The pickles were on the sandwich and it came wrapped in the usual Chick-Fil-A paper. All-in-all, I would give the sandwich a 7.5/10 and would recommend it as a better option than the $7 slice of pizza from Lorenzo’s.
