David Schlemko will report the Phantoms, a veteran of 415 NHL games, he’s signed through next season and will likely be the 7th defender and/or the AHL swing man. Per Chuck Fletcher he likes that Schlemko can play both sides on defense.

Byron Froese has 110 NHL games under his belt. With only 16 points, he’s probably at best another 4th line body or AHL veteran leader. With an expiring 650K contract, he is playing for a chance to potentially be similar to the Colin McDonald veteran AHL leader role.

The Flyers retained salary on Christian Folin to match Byron Froese. Dale Weise had no retained salary which frees up an extra 2.35M next season.
