The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have reached an agreement with defensive tackle Fletcher Cox – extending him through the 2022 season. The deal is reportedly worth $103 million with $63 million guaranteed. Over six years, the deal pays Cox an average of $17.167 million annually. Cox will be the second-highest paid defensive tackle in the NFL, behind only Miami’s Ndamukong Suh, who makes an average of $19.062 million.
Defensive end Vinny Curry signed a new contract earlier this offseason worth about $9.45 million per year. The Eagles project to have a dominant, if very expensive, defensive line for the near future.
