Eric Lindros and John LeClair will be inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame later tonight. Even though I won’t be at the game, I’m pretty pumped. Big E and Johnny Vermont were my two favorite players growing up. Lindros was a freight train in his prime. He was a force of nature with soft hands that could score a top shelf goal on you before bashing your face in. LeClair made scoring 50 goals seem like a breeze. He wasn’t the fastest guy, but he could screen the goalie like nobody’s business and could blow the puck right through a goalie with his howitzer of a shot.
Anyway, here’s a bunch of videos to pull at the old heart strings and make you nostalgic for the dead puck era. I don’t believe the Winter Classic alumni game goal is embeddable, but here’s the link. It’s perdy.

I’ll be right, I’m going to go tear off my shirt Hulk Hogan style and scream LEGION OF DOOM at anyone who comes within 5 feet of me after watching all of that. Long live the Legion, long live Lindros and LeClair.
