Flyers slash down Sabres 3-1

The Flyers kept their win steak alive with a 3-1 win over the Sabres at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia

The first period of the Flyers and Sabres came  down to Carter Hart vs the Sabres, with Hart keeping the game 0-0 while the skaters got their legs going.

Midway through the second, Claude Giroux got the Flyers on the board with a backhand goal on a feed from Jake Voracek.

Just under seven minutes later, Dominik Kahun tied it for Buffalo after a Flyers defensive miscue left him wide open on Carter Hart’s blocker side.

Despite having to kill off two Scott Laughton cross checking penalties in the third, the Flyers were able to take the lead and win the game. Claude Giroux scored on a mid-slot shot finding a soft spot in the coverage and Joel Farabee iced the game after Sabres goalie Carter Hutton misplayed the puck allowing Farabee to tuck it into the net.

The Flyers have Boston next on Tuesday, March 10 at home.
