Mychal Kendricks will not be leaving the birds nest, as the fourth-year linebacker and the Eagles have agreed to a four-year extension.
Maybe we should start taking Chip Kelly at his word. Earlier in training camp, the head coach said that Kendricks would be an Eagle. During the draft, Kelly said that he never tried to trade the linebacker. Now, the California native will be making Philadelphia his home for another four years.
Philadelphia, after going through last season with injuries at inside linebacker, now have perhaps the deeper unit in the league, and a future star in the making locked up long-term.
