NFL Week 12 Picks

Josh came firing in this week with a 9-3 record and took the lead back in the standings by two games. Brett also had a great week at 8-4.

Out of the six teams we all picked, we were right on five of them. In fact, the only one we lost on was Kansas City/Tampa Bay. We all had the Chiefs.

Josh was the only one to take a shot on the Rams and the Bills while I was the only one to take the Eagles. Me and Dan both believed in Aaron Rodgers but Kurt Cousins and Robert Kelly made our believed fall apart. I was also the one to believe in Cam over the Saints. It paid off.

This week, we all took five of the same teams.

Zach: Last week: 7-6 (Overall: 77-59-2)
Josh: Last week: 9-3 (Overall: 79-54-2)
Dan: Last week: 7-6 (Overall: 58-49-2)
Last week: 8-4 (Overall: 69-51-2)

This weeks bye teams: none

4:30 p.m. at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX

Zach: Cowboys, 42-35
Josh: Cowboys, 28-17
Dan: Redskins
Brett: Cowboys, 34-24

Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5) vs. Indianapolis Colts (5-5)
8:30 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN

Zach: Steelers, 24-14
Josh: Steelers, 27-13
Dan: Pittsburgh
Brett: Steelers, 21-10

Sunday Afternoon Games

Cincinnati Bengals (3-6-1) vs. Baltimore Ravens (5-5)
1:00 p.m. at M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD

Zach: Ravens, 27-14
Josh: Ravens 21-17
Dan: Ravens 16-10
Brett: Ravens 24-17

Zach Note: My dad and I had a great talk about the Ravens the other day (which is interesting because I never knew that was his second favorite team behind the Cowgirls of Dallas. We both agreed that John Harbaugh usually has a pretty good team, no matter what their record shows. Joe Flacco is a great QB and the Cowboys/Ravens game last week was closer than the score showed it to be. The Ravens are the first team this year to shut down Ezekiel Elliott (and make me lose my fantasy game last week). I think if the Ravens can win some more at three of their last five games (hopefully they lose to the Eagles), they could take a shot at the playoffs.

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) vs. Buffalo Bills (5-5)
1:00 p.m. at Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park, NY

Zach: Bills, 14-7
Josh: Bills, 24-23
Dan: Bills, 27-21
Brett: Bills 28-17

Zach Note: Snooze-Fest.

Tennessee Titans (5-6) vs. Chicago Bears (2-8)
1:00 p.m. at Soldier Field, Chicago, IL

Zach: Titans, 42-14
Josh: Titans, 31-21
Dan: Titans 24-10
Brett: Titans 35-10

Zach Note: Here is to being hopefully DeMarco Murray will have a great game and give me a bunch of fantasy points.

San Diego Chargers (4-6) vs. Houston Texans (6-4)
1:00 p.m. at NRG Stadium, Houston, TX

Zach: Houston, 35-32
Josh: Chargers, 28-24
Dan: Chargers 31-24
Brett: Chargers 27-24

Zach Note: Even though San Diego isn’t as bad as it’s record shows, the Texans are pretty good. They lead the AFC South by a game and if they win again on Sunday, it will be two over the Colts. I see the Chargers making an effort to win, but Texans should be the clear winner.

Los Angeles Rams (4-6) vs. New Orleans Saints (4-6)
1:00 p.m. at Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, LA

Zach: Saints, 27-24
Josh: Rams, 24-17
Dan: Saints 30-20
Brett: Saints 24-10

Zach Note: Both teams are off a close loss. Some how, the Rams have won two games this year without scoring a touchdown. Since the Saints have lost it’s last two games by very close margins, I think they will come out with a fire burning, at the slightest chance to make the playoffs. It would be a long shot, but it’s not impossible.

Arizona Cardinals (4-5-1) vs. Atlanta Falcons (6-4)
1:00 p.m. at Georgia Dome, Atlanta, GA

Zach: Falcons, 28-21
Josh: Arizona, 28-21
Dan: Falcons 27-23
Brett: Falcons 21-14

Zach Note: This is the first game for the Falcons since their 24-15 loss to the Eagles two weeks ago. Now that they have the bye behind them and two weeks of prep time, this is a must-win game for the Falcons to set the final five games of the season on the right path.

San Francisco 49ers (1-9) vs. Miami Dolphins (6-4)
1:00 p.m. at M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD

Zach: Dolphins, 34-14
Josh: Dolphins, 28-20
Dan: Niners 26-23
Brett: Dolphins 28-14

Zach Note: The Dolphins have won their last five games against some pretty good teams and they are playing the 49ers this week who are awful. If the 49ers and Cleveland Browns played each other, I might actually pick the Browns. It should give Philly fans great joy in knowing that Chip Kelly is falling miserably on the west coast. Maybe after this season, he should take the trip back of the west coast and go back to college. Maybe Texas would be a good fit for him since they just fired their coach, Charlie Strong.

New York Giants  (7-3) vs. Cleveland Browns (0-11)
1:00 p.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, OH

Zach: Giants, 35-14
Josh: Giants, 41-9
Dan: Giants 24-20
Brett: Giants 21-10

Zach Note: Browns are still searching for their first win, but I don’t see them getting it this week against the Giants. They are a pretty tough team, although the Eagles should get them the next time they play.

Seattle Seahawks (7-2-1) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5)
4:05 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL

Zach: Seahawks, 28-14
Josh: Seahawks, 27-23
Dan: Seahawks 28-21
Brett: Seahawks 28-17

Zach Note: Eagles fans saw last week, Seattle is a really good team. I don’t see Tampa being able to hold on. Although a positive for the Buccaneers is that they are home and not the Seahawks, somewhat eliminating the 12th man.

New England Patriots (8-2) vs. New York Jets (3-7)
4:25 p.m. at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ

Zach: Patriots, 35-14
Josh: Patriots, 31-20
Dan: Patriots 40-17
Brett: Jets 24-21

Zach Note: Patriots are the second best team in the league behind the Cowboys. The Jets will be no match for them. I am hoping the Pats defense can hold the Jets to next to nothing in yards and points because I’m using the Pats defense this week.

Brett Note: This is the Jets “Superbowl” I smell an upset in the swamps of Jersey.

Carolina Panthers (4-6) vs. Oakland Raiders (8-2)
4:25 p.m. at Coliseum, Oakland, CA

Zach: Raiders, 35-30
Josh: Raiders, 33-23
Dan: Panthers 27-24
Brett: Raiders 28-24

Zach Note: remember when I said I am not picking against the Raiders anymore, I surly wasn’t kidding. They have the same record as the Patriots and a very good chance of making a deep playoff run. Who would have thought that the Panthers would have collapsed the way they have?

Sunday Night Game

Kansas City Chiefs (7-3) vs. Denver Broncos (7-3)
8:30 p.m. at Sports Authority Field, Denver, CO

Zach: Denver, 35-34
Josh: Denver, 24-14
Dan: Chiefs 27-20
Brett: Chiefs 28-24

Zach Note: This will be a very exciting game. I am picking Denver because of the home field advantage. Definately could go either way. Both teams have been playing well as of late.

Monday Night Game

Green Bay Packers (4-6) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (5-5)
8:30 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field, Phiadelphia, PA

Zach: Eagles, 28-27
Josh: Eagles, 27-24
Dan: Eagles 26-21
Brett: Eagles 24-17
