P.A. Predictions: Two injured and struggling teams desperate for a win, Eagles vs Bengals

Philadelphia Eagles (5-5) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (3-7-1)
Sunday, 1:00 pm ET at Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati
Radio: 94.1
TV: FOX
Spread: Bengals -2

The Philadelphia Eagles continued their tailspin last week in a disappointing loss to the Packers. While the offense looked sharp, early, the defense struggled to pressure Aaron Rodgers and paid the price. We’ll see how the Eagles play against a bad team with very little to play for.

As we await kickoff, here are the predictions from the football minds here at Pattison Avenue and what we’ll be watching throughout the game – please follow and harangue them on twitter dot com:

As our 43rd President once said “Fool me once, shame on … shame on you. Fool me… You can’t get fooled again!” Well said. I can’t think of any reason to pick the Eagles in this or any remaining games. I’ve been fooled too many times. Bengals 27-20

To quote the 20th century philosopher Pete Townshend, I “Won’t Get Fooled Again” by this Philadelphia Eagles team and any of the trends for or against. Even the line is supposed to lure me to the Birds side as a slight road dog, but especially w/ both Matthews out for the game, I do not see the Eagles with enough offensive firepower to do much in Cincy. Even their vaunted defense has been a puzzle lately so my confidence in this team is at a low ebb right now. Bengals 24- 10
