Unfortunately due to the correct move by the Philadelphia Phillies to move this game up to 12:05, I was not able to see or pay the attention needed to the game, to write a proper post this evening so I will not pretend to do so and why I am doing this so long after the game. I can say that from what I read and saw in the replay tonight that Jerad Eickhoff got his third win on his 2nd Solid Seven innings w/ 10 Ks, outing in a row, and they got all the runs they needed on a 4th inning 2 run bomb to LF by Darin Ruf , scoring Jeff Francoeur, and added a solo shot also to LF by Andres BlancoJerome Williams  and Luis Garcia (who earned his 2nd save spelling Ken Giles) combined to hold the shut out.

The main reason I am posting tonight though is that this would have been my last game blogging here on the Phillies in 2015 so I wanted to once again thank PattisonAve.Com for allowing me this opportunity and hope that my ramblings here were adequate at least, and I look forward to being back again next season where I will continue to enjoy seeing the breath of fresh air that has been this team the latter half of the season.  As bad as they have been at times, mostly due to flat out lack of talent and experience, noone can call these kids quitters – as this Mets series surely showed us – or that they did not try as hard as they could.  I believe the retention of Pete Mackanin, and possibly a lot of his staff as well as the GM to come will keep moving these youngin’s along and start to bring in up and coming and veteran talent to complement them.  It is going to be a possibly bumpy, but interesting ride the next few seasons. For this year I am hoping they avoid the dreaded 100 losses, and at the same time “win” the battle for the #1 draft pick.

Meanwhile you are not getting rid of me that easily as I will be doing the Temple Football previews (see this weeks TEMPLE OWLS @ CHARLOTTE 49ERS 10/02/15 7:00 PM ) and recaps.

There’s Always Next Year
