The Phillies made a move Saturday morning to reacquire infielder Jayson Nix from the Orioles for cash considerations. .

The 32-year-old Nix had a brief stint with the Phillies in early 2014 when he batted just .154 with 1 home run and 2 RBI in just 18 games. He was outrighted to AAA Lehigh Valley in mid-May, but refused the assignment becoming a free agent.

Nix, who was batting just .167 in AAA Norfolk for the Orioles, will report this time to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, likely taking the place in the lineup of promoted third baseman Maikel Franco.
