With players coming back from injury, it seems the Sixers have an abundance of bodies at the small forward position. None that are any good at playing basketball, but bodies nonetheless. As a result, the Sixers have sent their first player to the horribly named Delaware 87ers, JaKarr Sampson.
Sampson played in nine games with the Sixers this season so far, two of them as a starter, where he has averaged 11.2 minutes of playing time. In those nine games he has averaged a stunning 2 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game.
If you have lived in Philadelphia long enough and love sports, then you know Howard Eskin is something we just tolerate and deal with, kind of like Tony Luke’s. He loves noting more than making himself the center of attention and he seemed to succeed last Wednesday when the Sixers faced off against the Boston Celtics at the Wells Fargo Center.
There he wore what appeared to be a custom-made Sam Hinkie tanking t-shirt. It really needs to be seen to be believed. (Thanks to John Gonzalez for saving this moment for posterity).
