This is your all Facts – No Filler preview of the US Open Cup Round of 16 match between the Philadelphia Union and the New York Red Bulls.

Open Cup Match-Up History:

The Union have won both times they have met, advancing on penalties in 2015 1(3)-(4)1, and outright in 2016, 2-1.

* Late Edit – These two also met in a “Play-In” round at the start of the 2010 tournament with NYRB prevailing 2-1. Thanks to Matt Bodiford of the Union for the information *

Open Cup Fourth Round:

How To Watch:

The game will not be on broadcast TV, but will be streamed on the Unions web site as well as the U.S. Soccer Website

Fearless Forecast:

The Red Bulls do not play again until July 5th, while the Union have their next match three days sooner. Because of this NYRB is more likely to start and play “regulars”, but we all know how much emphasis Union Coach Jim Curtin puts on winning this competition, so it is really tough to tell who he will select. I foresee a typically close match, going into extra time, as the Union head back down 95 with a 2-1 win on a goal in the 2nd 15′ segment.
